You will serve as a RESOURCE SCHEDULER in the RANGES/TARGETS OPS & LABS GROUP, THREAT TARGET SYSTEMS DEPARTMENT, PACIFIC TARGETS & MARINE OPS, OPERATIONS SUPPORT BR of NAVAIRWARCENWPNDIV POINT MUGU.

Duties

You will provide support with preparing plans, schedules, and allocations of division resources to maximize utilization requirements. You will develop resource plans and schedules to meet mission requirements. You will collect and track data from operations to provide data relating to operational failures and success. You will prepare and review reports detailing specific manpower and asset limitations and cycles. You will assist with research required for the test and evaluation of scheduling software databases to meet operational test analysis requirements.

  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • This is a bargaining unit position.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final secret security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate some or all of the following: 1) Demonstrating resource management knowledge such as collecting, tracking, and maintaining records and data metrics, resource scheduling including transportation and shipping methods, auditing procedures; 2) Using standard office computer programs (Microsoft Office suite), as well as ability to learn automated web-based flight scheduling systems and ability to access, manipulate, and extract data; 3) Displaying organizational skills that demonstrate the ability to coordinate multiple functions simultaneously in a high tempo environment; 4) Working knowledge of Naval Air capabilities and Naval Supply System including hazardous material shipping procedures. In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
