You will serve as a Supervisory General Supply Specialist in the Nuclear Reactors Supply Chain Management Directorate of NAVSUP WEAPON SYSTEMS SUPPORT.

Duties

You will plan, develop, implement and manage effective NRP product support strategies throughout the life cycle the material. You will conduct analysis of proposed or recently promulgated directives, instructions and regulations; and for development of appropriate implementing procedures and instructions. You will be responsible for the development and coordination of operations plans, policies, and procedures which relate to division functions. You will ensure results of desired product support outcomes through the development and implementation of appropriate technical documentation packages.

  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-12) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing as a Supervisory General Supply Specialist. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Plan and schedule ongoing production-oriented work on a quarterly and annual basis, or direct assignments of similar duration. 2) Adjust staffing levels or work procedures within their organizational unit(s) to accommodate resource allocation decisions made at higher echelons. 3) Justify the purchase of new equipment. 4) Improve work methods and procedures used to produce work products. 5) Oversee the development of technical data, estimates, statistics, suggestions, and other information useful to higher level managers in determining which goals and objectives to emphasize. 6) Decide the methodologies to use in achieving work goals and objectives, and in determining other management strategies.
