You will serve as a General Supply Specialist of NAVSUP WEAPON SYSTEMS SUPPORT.

Duties

You will ensure each request received from the PVR-38 automated system, NAVSEA 08 or written/verbal request in support of NRP items is complete and accurate for the functions performed. You will perform detailed analysis of special and unique problems interrelated but not limited to NSN assignment. You will develop alternatives and/or recommendations to improve workflow processes, including procedures and policies. You will review, execute, and distribute necessary files maintenance transactions on PTDs for both nuclear and new components/repair parts ensuring that the technical data is correct and complete for the items being provisioned. Develops reports to present to Executive Leadership during the Internal Process Review (IPR) to assess the health and accuracy percentage of CDA provisioning on incoming PTDs.

Requirements

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Knowledge of system-wide interrelated supply and logistics processes in such areas as inventory management, provisioning, cataloging, storage management, quality assurance and contracting; 2) Ability to interpret NRP policy directives for specific operating requirements and develop/provide guidance as necessary as to procedures/techniques to be used in a variety of work situations; 3) Ability to work without supervision and initiate work procedures; ability to assign, distribute and independently manage workload, conduct classroom and individual training; 4) Understanding/interpreting blueprints, schematics, specifications and standards, commercial catalogs, technical manuals, drawings, PIPS computer program specifications, inventory management; 5) Knowledge of Business Intelligence systems such as EBS, Power BI, Crystal Report, SAS, IRAS, to analyze data, distribute reports, and brief status of program efficiency.
