About the Position: Serve as a Budget Analyst with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Great Lakes and Ohio River Division, Resource Management Division.
Duties
Serve as the lead budget analyst with the responsibility for the formulation, execution, and presentation of various Great Lakes and Ohio River Division (LRD) regional command operating budgets.
Independently performing a wide range of evaluative and analytic duties in support of military, revolving fund, and civil appropriations.
Duties relate to budget formulation, program/funds control, program oversight, close coordination with operating officials, other districts and divisions, and higher headquarters.
Responsible for the development and execution of Major Subordinate Command (MSC) budget that reflects the balanced, multi-year funding needs of the command.
Review and consolidate estimates submitted by Operating Officials, assesses validity of estimates by evaluating consistency of dollar amounts with previous performance costs and dollar guidance furnished by higher headquarters.

- THIS IS A FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT Level 2 Certified position.
- Designated in accordance with the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Public Law 112-81, Subtitle F-Financial Management, section 1051, amending 10 United States Code, section 1599d.
- Incumbent of this position is required to comply with all Department of Defense and Department of the Army requirements of this certification program.
- This certification requirement is a condition of employment for this position. Failure to obtain this certification within the required time may subject the incumbent to adverse action.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service which includes evaluating and analyzing duties in support of military, revolving fund, and civil appropriations; applying fiscal laws and regulations of budgeting and revolving fund management; and ensuring operating officials understand and comply with budgetary requirements.
