About the position: This position will be assigned to the Eglin Outdoor Recreation.
Duties
Responsible for the operation and maintenance of the Robbins/Postl Point FamCamps and Eglin Beach Park, Outdoor Recreation
complex located on Okaloosa Island. May assist with Eglin Base Pool as necessary. Duties include customer service, receiving
payments and maintaining customer information. Assumes supervisory duties on short-term basis. Reports to the FamCamp/
Aquatics Supervisor. Maintains open communication with supervisor to ensure mission accomplishment on a regular basis.
Establishes and prepares various reports such as daily sales, rental equipment condition, ordering, and receiving. Conducts
inventory and notifies management of an discrepancies. Inspects facilities for proper maintenance. Performs cleaning and minor
repairs of aquatics/beach/campground facilities as needed. Ensures all patrons are authorized active duty/DoD employees/retirees/
dependents or approved guests per MWR eligibility table. Records attendance and ensures that adequate parking is available for all
patrons admitted to the Beach Park. Prepares change funds as required. Completes proper documentation and assures that
merchandise is properly received. Monitors campground laundry facilities for proper machine operation. May perform vending
machine cash harvests and refill change machines as required. Takes campground and pavilion reservations, maintains files and
correspondence. Posts beach safety flags. Monitors use of equipment to ensure availability to all interested. Uses judgment and
reads applicable regulations, guidelines and directives to determine appropriate actions in case of inclement weather. Ensures
recreational equipment is clean, safe, fully operational and is ready for rental/checkout. Provides employee training. Works
special projects and performs other administrative duties as assigned. May be assigned responsibility for GPC (Government
Purchase Card) purchases for NAF or APF. Performs other related duties as assigned. Position of trust.

Qualifying Experience:
Applicants must have at least one year experience that provided a practical knowledge of recreational activities, equipment, rules,
and procedures as related to the activity in which they are assigned. Experience working in a campground or beach setting is
desirable. Knowledge of recreational funds management is required to include cash accountability. Must be able to demonstrate
the ability to perform at the level described in the duties and responsibilities section. Work experience must show the ability to
communicate in English both orally and in writing. Incumbent must possess the ability to get along with a variety of different people
and make them feel welcome at the facility. Must have a valid driver's license and complete CPR course within 30 days after
entrance on duty. Subject to a satisfactory completion of a National Agency Check with Inquiries.
