About the position: This position will be assigned to the Eglin Outdoor Recreation.

Duties

Performs assigned responsibilities set forth by the Postl Point Manager and/or Outdoor Recreation Director. Relays, monitors, and verifies all rental transactions and responsibilities are performed in accordance with prescribed work standards. Conducts on-the-job training, demonstrates work methods, and provides guidance/instructions to employees. Checks with supervisor on work related problems/concerns and ensures staff maintains productivity goals. Ensures employees follow security, safety, and housekeeping standards. Works and assists in the day-to-day operation of Post) Point Marina and Outdoor Recreation equipment rentals. Follows schedule of events as well as assures the rules and regulations are observed. Types of duties include, but are not limited to, the following: Checks in and out recreational rental equipment Schedules use and coordinates reservations of cabins, boats, RV storage and boat slip. Ensures all rental/operational checklists are followed and any damages or deviations are reported to management or designee. Inspects rental equipment for any damages and coordinates with maintenance personnel for any necessary repairs. Ensures equipment and recreational areas are ready and safe for use by the customer. Demonstrates safety and conservation techniques in recreational activities such as boating, camping, water sports activities, hiking, climbing, and cycling. Performs cashier duties IAW established cash handling and accountability procedures. Ensures all rental equipment is cleaned after use and is properly stored in designated areas. Assists in the compliance and performance of following programs: Facility Management Program, Fire Prevention Program, Hazardous Materials (HAZMAT) Program, and the Safety Program. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Applicant must have experience and a working familiarity with the routines and procedures followed in group activities or programs. Must have practical knowledge and/or experience of recreational activities and equipment, rules, and procedures in a recreational program activity which has involved recreation work in the area of specialty in which the position is assigned. Applicant must be physically able to frequently lift, handle, and carry objects weighing up to 15 pounds. Must be able to frequently stand, bend, and stoop. Applicant must be able to satisfactorily complete a Tier 1 background investigation.
