THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a HR ASST, Position Description Number PDD1047000 and is part of the WY Human Resources Office, Wyoming Army National Guard. This is a Title 32 Dual Status Technician Excepted Service position. Military affiliation is required.

Duties

The primary purpose of the position is to provide limited technical assistance to Human Resources Specialists within the office and to managers, supervisors, and technicians of the serviced organization for a wide range of human resources matters. Performs work in two or more of the following human resource specialties. May accomplish work through the use of an automated system. (1) Processes a wide range of human resources transactions related to recruitment and placement. (2) Provides technical assistance in the area of recruitment and placement. (3) Advises and provides procedural and technical guidance to managers, supervisors, and applicants on recruitment and placement, qualification requirements, merit promotion procedures, transfers, eligibility determinations, methods of recruitment, and initial employment. (4) Reviews and verifies information on requests for vacancies to determine the nature of the staffing action required and to ensure correctness. Prepares and distributes vacancy announcements. (5) Analyzes and evaluates individuals' applications to determine basic eligibility. ** This is NOT an all-inclusive list of duties. **

Situational telework may be considered on a case-by-case basis. Para/Line: 1723/257 Selecting Official: William Pacheco AREAS OF CONSIDERATION: Primary consideration will be made from Areas 1, 2 and 4. If referrals are not made from the target category, subsequent referrals may next be made from Area 6 (if eligible). Area 1: All permanent and indefinite Wyoming National Guard (NG) WY ARNG employees assigned within the Human Resources Office. Area 2: All permanent and indefinite Wyoming National Guard (NG) T32 Dual Status technicians employed within the Wyoming Army National Guard. Area 4: All current M-day soldiers of the Wyoming Army National Guard. Area 6: Current military members of the US Army, Army Reserves, or other states' Army National Guard units or prior service members of one of those military branches. Must be willing/eligible to join the Wyoming Army National Guard as a military member prior to appointment to position. MILITARY GRADE In-State Applicants: Min: E3/PFC Max: E7/SFC Enlisted Applicants' under- or over-grade (without a written demotion statement of understanding with application) will not be considered for this vacancy. Acceptance of this position does not in any way constitute a military promotion. DESCRIPTION OF WORK: Work in this series includes clerical and administrative support positions performing clerical, assistant, or technical work which requires knowledge of the procedures, established guidelines, and techniques involved in carrying out the work of the organization. GENERAL EXPERIENCE Must possess experience in clerical, office, or other work that indicates ability to acquire the particular knowledge and skills needed to perform the duties of the position with experience using computer and automation systems. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must possess at least 12 months experience in the interpretation and application of regulations, procedures, or laws; a working knowledge of administrative functions; experience performing personnel transactions; and experience working independently and setting priorities with very little supervisory control. NOTE: General and Specialized Experience will be used to determine qualifications for the announced position. Applicants must provide from (e.g., 02/2015 - 03/2017 or Feb 2017 - Mar 2017) dates and hours worked per week with description of your specialized experience on the resume. MILITARY REQUIREMENTS: Selected candidates will be required to be in a compatible military grade and assignment prior to the effective date of placement. DRIVER'S LICENSE: Must possess a valid driver's license.

Successful completion of one year of graduate level education in a field directly related to this position which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position.
