About the Position: You will serve as a Senior Realty Specialist, applying a mastery knowledge of real estate regulations, principles and practices and providing program guidance to other Agencies, State and local governments.
Duties
Perform complex Real Estate duties in support of both Civil Works and Military projects.
Analyze and resolve conflicts in policy and objections and/or controversial transactions arising from complex real estate negotiations.
Provide technical guidance to other Realty Specialists.
Serve as the primary point-of-contact and technical expert for projects assigned.
Requirements

- DRIVER'S LICENSE - The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles.

GS-12:
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: Experience utilizing a variety of federal government real estate laws/policies to act as technical authority to advise customers on federal property acquisition and/or disposal; Experience utilizing an automated system, such as, Real Estate Management Information System (REMIS) or similar, to input and/or retrieve data for daily tasks; Experience completing complex federal real estate transactions in accordance with established policy and guidance.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
GS-13:
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: Experience utilizing federal real estate principles, policies and methods to finalize a lease or other federal real estate instrument, or to acquire or manage property; Experience resolving critical problems over a wide range of complex, long term, federal realty projects; Experience completing complex federal real estate transactions and/or property management activities such as multiple and/or conflicting uses of land, space, or facilities; Experience negotiating in sensitive or unpredictable federal real estate related situations with reluctant or uncooperative property owners and/or other agencies as a Realty Specialist.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job at GS-12 and GS-13 grade level, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
