You will serve as a Plumbing Worker in the Facilities Maintenance Division of MCRD ERR PI SC.
Duties
You will unclog drains with a plunger or snake.
You will hook up water heaters, disposal units and other appliances to existing systems.
You will remove, clean, replace, pack and seal broken tile pipes, frozen faucets, traps, aerators and similar parts.
You will Install, modify and repair steam and hot water distribution systems.
You will perform relatively minor repairs of utility, supply and disposal systems.
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
- Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

- You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift
- You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.

The Screen-out Element for this position is: Ability to perform the duties of a Plumber Worker without more than normal supervision including; locating and make plumbing repairs (e.g. cleaning, replacing, packing, sealing) to utility supply and disposal systems, replace defective broken pipes, faucets, drains; measure, cut, thread pipe, seal leaky faucets shower drains, tile pipes; operate hand and power plumbing tools and follow safety precautions. I am considered an expert and work with a high degree of independence.
