You will serve as a SECRETARY (OA) in HELICOPTER TRAINING SQUADRON EIGHT of TRAWING FIVE.
Duties
You will receive all visitors and telephone calls to the Commanding Officer or Executive Officer and ascertain the nature of call or business of visitors, and determine appropriate action.
You will keep the Executive Officer’s and Commanding Officer’s calendar and schedule appointments and meetings upon own initiative based upon personal knowledge of the CO/XO’s workload and current issues of importance.
You will respond to requests for information concerning squadron functions and prepare responses on schedule from source material.
You will arrange for meetings and conferences, including such matters as location, schedule, agenda, and attendance list.
You will be responsible for reviewing incoming correspondence, publications, regulations, and directives which may affect the office.
You will maintain control records on incoming correspondence and action documents, and follow-up on work in process to insure timely reply or action.
You will review documents prepared for signature of or requiring coordination by the Commanding Officer or Executive Officer for conformance with regulations, grammar, and format in accordance with established or special policies of the command.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
- This position requires the ability to type at least 40 words per minute. Your response to the typing skill question on the Occupational Questionnaire will be used in your qualification determination.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-04 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Providing administrative or clerical support by utilizing office automation systems to update records or files, prepare reports and maintain files for an organization.

Education
In lieu of general/specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
Successful completion of at least four full academic years of education above high school
OR
A combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience
