You will serve as a SECRETARY (OA) in the EXECUTIVE DEPARTMENT of TRAWING FIVE.
GS-07: $46,696 - $60,703

Duties
You will perform complex administrative and secretarial tasks with a high level of independence to ensure the effective and efficient functioning of all administrative support required by the Commander, Deputy Commander and Chief Staff Officer.
You will act as the central point of contact and communication link between the Wing Commander, executive office, Department Heads, support staff, and subordinate squadrons, ensuring all are kept apprised of pertinent information.
You will provide guidance, instruction, and assistance to the six subordinate command secretaries and staff administration offices on proper and effective correspondence and office administration practices and procedures.
You will review work prepared by other clerical staff for submission to the Commander, higher headquarters elements and/or outside agencies, returning documents to the originator for correction, as required.
You will independently answer questions and complete business involving both established and unwritten policy on routine matters without referring people or issues to the supervisor.
You will maintain the executive calendars for the Commander, Deputy Commander, and Chief Staff Officer, scheduling appointments and meetings based upon personal knowledge of executive office workload and current issues of importance.
You will anticipate the need for information and systematically prepare material so that it is immediately available for executive staff needs.
Requirements

- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You must be willing and able to lift and/or carry loads/items up to 20 pounds in weight.
Qualifications
GS-07: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Performing administrative support or secretarial work by reviewing outgoing correspondence, reports, and briefings and maintaining office calendars, appointments and meetings for organizational needs.
GS-06: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Performing administrative support or secretarial work by maintaining files, controlling incoming correspondences, and drafting responses to managers for needs of the organization.
This position requires the ability to type at least 40 words per minute. Your response to the typing skill question on the Occupational Questionnaire will be used in your qualification determination.
