The primary purpose of this position is the incumbent of this position will be responsible for assisting in providing finished intelligence on worldwide operational capability to utilize foreign air and space systems to a variety of intelligence clients, including the acquisition community, national policy makers, and operational commands.

Duties
DUTY 1:
With training and guidance, extracts data from numerous databases to answer internal and external customer requirements; tracks low to medium priority requirements through the tasking, processing, exploitation, and dissemination process.
DUTY 2:
With training and guidance, integrates simple intelligence information to enhance overall understanding of foreign systems; conducts research on asset capabilities and provides simple collection requests input supporting worldwide operations.
DUTY 3:
With training and guidance, assembles and prepares low to medium complexity data for processing, analysis and reporting in support of taskings; prepares and electronically disseminates low to medium complexity products for customers worldwide in support of formal DoD intelligence production requirements.
DUTY 4:
Participates in special initiatives, studies, and projects. Works with other specialists in planning and conducting special initiatives, studies, and projects.

- The employee may be required to travel in military and/or commercial aircraft to perform temporary duty assignments.
- Position is designated special-sensitive, and incumbent must be able to obtain and retain a TOP SECRET (TS) security clearance with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI). A non-disclosure agreement must be signed.
- An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in generic sciences, intelligence analysis or a closely related discipline is desired.
- Prolonged periods of sitting, reading, and intense data analysis are typical. The work is mostly sedentary performed in an office setting.
Qualifications
This position is a developmental position and will be filled at the GG-07 level with promotion potential to the GG-12. The individual selected for this position may be promoted to the target level without further competition upon meeting any legal and regulatory requirements.
This is a GG-07 target 12 position in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). The GG-07 duties for the "Professional" work category are at the " Entry/Developmental" work level and are equivalent to those at the GS-07 level. The selectee's salary will be set within the grade equivalent to a GS/GG grade based on the selectee's qualifications in relation to the job.
To qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements describes in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Your resume must reflect the quality level of experience which demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for successful job performance required for this position. Examples of creditable experience include: knowledge of basic principles, concepts, and methods of a professional or administrative occupation; knowledge of standard procedures in Degree A-4, practical knowledge of technical methods to perform assignments. Note: Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector, or experience gained in another government agency.

EDUCATION:1 full year of graduate level education or superior academic achievement
OR
COMBINATION OF EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: Equivalent combinations of education and experience are qualifying for all grade levels for which both education and experience are acceptable.
AND
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1. Knowledge of basic concepts, principles and practices involved in intelligence analysis is desired.
2. An ability to apply training and experience to perform a full range of standard analytical assignments and resolve recurring or routine problems is required.
3. Must be skilled in the use of computer based systems to store, index, and retrieve local and web based information. -
4. Must demonstrate some ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and with technical accuracy, both orally and in writing; and ability to plan and organize work, and consult effectively with co-workers.
5. The ability to work in a professional manner with peers and management is required.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT CONTINUED:
Drug Testing: This position has been designated by the Air Force as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Testing Program. Employee must pass initial and periodic short notice drug testing. Illegal drug use by employees in sensitive positions presents a clear threat to the mission of the Air Force, national security, and public safety.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
