About the Position: : Recruiting for an Acquisition Training and Education Manager position with US Army Acquisition Support Center located at Fort Belvoir, Virginia.
This is a pay banded position. The NH-03 band encompasses grades 12 to 13 under the General Schedule (GS) system.
Duties
Manage various Army Acquisition training, leadership, and tuition assistance programs for entire civilian Army Acquisition, Logistics, and Technology workforce that are part of the Army Acquisition Education, and Training portfolio.
Oversee program budget and execution as well as maintaining current policy and procedures for all responsible programs.
Review board packages for completeness and accuracy, and when requested, assists applicant to maximize package preparation and presentation.
Implement and execute the selection process for specific Army Acquisition Education, and Training programs.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.
- One year trial/probationary period may be required.
- You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship.
- This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position.
- This position requires Practitioner certification in Acquisition Career Field "Program Management", or the incumbent must be able to obtain certification within 60 months of appointment
- Must maintain a Secret security clearance.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 10% of the time.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes (1) Coordinates with and provides guidance to the Acquisition Career Managers (ACM) and command training specialists concerning the availability of training courses; (2) coordinates with the budget office to provide funding information for travel orders for the workforce members attending training; AND (3) Provides updated reports displaying training schedules, classes' available, and funding status. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (NH-02/GS-11).
