About the Position: : Recruiting for an Acquisition Training and Education Manager position with US Army Acquisition Support Center located at Fort Belvoir, Virginia. This is a pay banded position. The NH-03 band encompasses grades 12 to 13 under the General Schedule (GS) system.

Duties

Manage various Army Acquisition training, leadership, and tuition assistance programs for entire civilian Army Acquisition, Logistics, and Technology workforce that are part of the Army Acquisition Education, and Training portfolio. Oversee program budget and execution as well as maintaining current policy and procedures for all responsible programs. Review board packages for completeness and accuracy, and when requested, assists applicant to maximize package preparation and presentation. Implement and execute the selection process for specific Army Acquisition Education, and Training programs.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.
  • One year trial/probationary period may be required.
  • You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship.
  • This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position.
  • This position requires Practitioner certification in Acquisition Career Field "Program Management", or the incumbent must be able to obtain certification within 60 months of appointment
  • Must maintain a Secret security clearance.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 10% of the time.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (NH-02/GS-11). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Administration and ManagementCommunicationsEducation and TrainingPlanning and Evaluating Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (NH-02/GS-11).
