About the Position: This position is with the Army Contracting Command - Rock Island, Operations Directorate Contract Operations Division located in Rock Island, Illinois.
Duties
Serves as a Senior Procurement Operations Officer within the Army Contracting Command-Rock Island’s Contracting Operations Directorate.
Reviews internal operations to ascertain ability to meet special project requirements.
Recommends changes in internal organization and assignments for greater efficiency.
Conducts broad research and analysis of historical documentation for ACC-RI senior leaders and the Executive Directorate.
Develops plans to enable the assigned Directorate to conduct operations.
Provides recommendations for solutions regarding identified problem areas.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of up to 10% of the time.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. If the security clearance is denied or revoked, the individual may be denied or removed from the position, accordingly.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Preparing data/information for inclusion in tasking responses, reports and briefings; 2) Conducting broad research and analysis of historical documentation/information for senior leaders; 3) Providing recommendations to regulations and studies related to contracting and operational issues; 4) Resolves time-sensitive problems related contracting and operational matters.
