This position serves as a Community Engagement Officer in the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Great Lakes Region, Office of Policy, International Affairs & Environment (APL), Office of National Engagement and Regional Administration (ARA). May develop new and innovative approaches, methodologies, and/or techniques; and direct challenging projects/programs/activities.
Duties
The position is expected to fully plan, implement, manage and coordinate all community outreach activities related to aviation issues in their assigned areas. This position is a subject matter expert and responsible for planning, organizing, and controlling the activities necessary to deliver an effective community outreach program for the Regional Administrator’s Office.
Requirements
- US Citizenship is required.
- Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.

Qualifications
To qualify for this position you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to FV-I, FG/GS-13 in the Federal Service. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position. Specialized experience includes: Experience organizing and leading aspects of community outreach activities.
