You will serve as a Supervisory Supply Management Specialist in the Material Management Department of NAVSUP FLEET LOGISTICS CENTER NORFOLK.

Duties

You will plan, develop, implement and execute program objectives. You will manage the Material Handling Equipment (MHE) program and training requirements. You will ensure compliance with material storage and handling regulations and policies. You will utilize Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (N-ERP) database as system of record for all material receipt, issue, storage, and disposal transactions. You will develop activity plans that identify actions, responsibilities, and schedules to ensure timely and effective customer support. You will assist with the oversight and administration, facilities repair and maintenance requirements, physical security, equipment management and administrative services required to support site operations. You will participate in formal/informal meetings and briefings to present study results and recommendations to management officials.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of Supply Management Specialist specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-07) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector demonstrating comprehensive knowledge and skill in Supply Management to include: analyzing, developing, evaluating, or promoting improvements in the policies, plans, methods, procedures, systems, or techniques of a supply program. Resume must demonstrate knowledge and experience in supply support, material management, planning and implementing local supply policies, warehousing, inventory management and management of Navy's Repairable and Consumable inventory known as Navy Working Capital Fund Supply Management (NWCF-SM). I also have experience supervising and/or leading employees to assign work, give advice, hear and resolve complaints and plan work schedules to ensure deadlines are being met. Examples of specialized experience include the following: 1.) Develops work methods, techniques and local operating procedures for receipt, custody, material management (including shelf-life management), distribution and storage requirements; 2.) Receives, stores, issues stock while ensuring classified/hazardous/sensitive materials are in compliance with material storage and handling regulations; 3) Utilizes Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (N-ERP) database for all material receipt, issue, storage and disposal transactions; 4) Prepares written documents, flow charts, official correspondence and reports to present study results in briefings and formal/informal meetings to make recommendations to management officials; 5.) Assigns work, prepares schedules, reviews and analyzes material processing and management and delegates changes to enhance operations; 6.) Ensures Command and department goals, policies, and priorities are communicated effectively to subordinates, while promoting safety and security, encouraging growth and acceptance of new ideas, suggestions for improvements and foster an environment which provides for employee participation and feedback. Education

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

master's or equivalent graduate degree

or

2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree

or

LL.B. or J.D., if related
