You will serve as a SUPPLY MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the Resource Management Department (N8) of CENTER FOR SUBMARINE.

Duties

You will be responsible for the program management with regard to policy and procedural guidance for government furnished property and personal property functions within the Submarine Learning Center (SLC). You will be responsible for the monitoring, evaluation, execution and performance of the following areas of responsibility: Property Management and Accountability (DPAS). You will through consultation, research and process development you will identify current, future and continuing logistical requirements for the SLC and each SLC training site

Requirements

  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:1) Planning, organizing and coordinating federal property/supply operations, purchasing and contracting efforts; 2) Analyzing and evaluating the effectiveness and efficiency of various supply programs (e.g., procurement, distribution, storage and disposal); 3) Preparing and managing supply records to document the receipt, custody, care and distribution of materials; and 4) Utilizing automated logistics systems to retrieve data, enter supply transactions and prepare management reports. In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

master's or equivalent graduate degree

or

2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree

or

LL.B. or J.D., if related
