These positions are located throughout the Agency. The major EPA office locations are listed in this announcement, but these positions may be filled at other EPA office locations as well. The location will be determined after a selection has been made for the position; if selected, you must work at the established EPA office location of the position for which you are hired. Duties

Your application will be placed into a pool of individuals with non-competitive eligibility from completed service as a Peace Corps Volunteer or AmeriCorps VISTA Volunteer for evaluation and referral to selecting officials for non-competitive hiring.

  • EPA and non-EPA applicants must submit transcripts/course listings.

Qualifications

You must meet specialized experience requirements (or a substitution of education for experience, if applicable) for the specific position being filled. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
