You will serve as a NONDESTRUCTIVE TEST INSPECTOR in the NDI Section, Metals Branch, Idustrial Processes Division of the MRO Production Department at Fleet Readiness Center East (FRCE) of FLTREADCEN EAST.
Duties
You will utilize the Liquid Penetrant inspection method to inspect a variety of components common to fix and rotary wing aircraft.
You will process parts for fluorescent penetrant inspection using manual or automated systems.
You will apply caustic etch solutions on components as required by local process specifications and directives.
You will perform daily process controls on the various systems.
You will use a variety of overhead cranes and rigging gear to lift heavy or complex parts requiring inspection.
You will assist senior artisans when processing parts for inspections.
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Utilizing the Liquid Penetrant inspection method to inspect a variety of components common to fixed and rotary wing aircraft. 2. Appling caustic etch solutions on components as required by local process specifications and directives. 3. Assisting senior artisans when processing parts for magnetic particle inspection utilizing AC and DC equipment as well as portable magnetizing equipment. 4. Assisting senior artisans when processing parts for temper etch inspection, including mixing of proper chemicals, performing process controls and preservation of the part after inspection 5. Assisting senior artisans when performing inspections utilizing all the NDI methods available.6. Utilizing a variety of overhead cranes and rigging gear to lift heavy or complex parts requiring inspection.
