This position is located at Departmental Offices,Domestic Finance-Financial Institutions. As a/an IT Specialist (INFOSEC), you will be responsible for carrying out the Treasury's Department role in promoting the IT (cyber) and all hazards security, resilience, and protection of the financial services sectors critical infrastructure.
Duties
As a/an IT Specialist (INFOSEC), you will:
Coordinate with public and private sector representatives to identify, analyze, monitor, and address threats and vulnerabilities significant enough to impact the national economic security of the United States.
Prepare policy memos on cybersecurity for senior decision makers addressing key issues in the financial services sector, a Presidentially designated national critical infrastructure.
Coordinate interagency and cross-sector working groups to advance Treasury cybersecurity goals and objectives with regard to protection of the nation's financial services sector.
Develop internal goals, objectives, priorities, and plans to advance OCCIP's role in the Treasury's cyber mission with regard to cyber/ critical infrastructure protection of the nation's financial services sector.
Partner with financial regulators and other federal stakeholders and partners to continuously improve the oversight and outreach programs that drive strong cybersecurity practices in the financial sector.
Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: For the GS-15, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized Experience for this position includes:
Performing work with significant scope/impact to promote critical infrastructure protection, cybersecurity, resilience, and/or reduction of operational risk within the financial services sector, one its sub-sectors, or at a critical financial institution.
The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. To ensure full credit for your work experience, please indicate dates of employment by month/day/year and indicate number of hours worked per week on your resumé.
In addition to specialized experience, individuals must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below.

Education
