About the Position: This position is with the ILSC, Field Support Operations Fleet Management Expansion, in Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri.
Duties
Requisitions components needed for maintenance/repair of various types of major end items (automotive [wheel and track vehicles], support equipment), and various office products and supplies.
Utilize automated systems such as the Global Combat Support System- Army (GCSS-A) monitors all job requests to determine sequencing of operation to accomplish required work.
Verifies stock numbers, quantities needed, and other pertinent information.
Reviews request for parts, tools, or equipment submitted by mechanics or other personnel.
Operates a motor vehicle to pick up and deliver parts and supplies.
Responsible for all transactions involving the turn-in of expendable and non-expendable property, including scrap vehicles.
Types a variety of materials in rough draft or final form from written material or drafts submitted.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and an annual examination thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position.
- This position is covered by the Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program. The incumbent is required to sign a DA Form 5019-R and must pass urinalysis testing as required prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
- This position is subject to the 1996 Lautenberg Amendment to the Gun Control Act of 1968. Persons convicted of a misdemeanor or felony crime of domestic violence are not eligible for this position.
- The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles.
- This position requires the employee to use personal protective equipment provided by the employer.
- This position requires a qualified typist. A qualified typist can type 40 words per minute based on a 5 minute sample with three or fewer errors

Specialized Experience : One year of Specialized experience which includes (1) performing a wide range of supply, maintenance management and operational functions to include requisitioning, receiving, reconciliation, inventory, issuing/dispatching, and equipment maintenance update; (2) performing clerical tasks such as compiling reports, typing correspondence, memorandums, forms and reports; (3) preparing tally sheets as to receipts, overage or shortages; and (4) receipt of and signing for material and parts. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).
