Position is located in the Phoenix Indian Medical Center in Phoenix, AZ. Serves as a Supervisory Supply Management Specialist assisting the Supply Management Officer with the development and integration of a supply chain that ensures supplies, materials, and equipment are distributed to all areas serviced by warehouse by directing, supervising and managing the primary inventory point that receives, stores and issues supplies and materials for both clinical and administrative service areas.
Duties
In coordination and direction of the SMO, carry's out the operations of the ongoing supply activities of the Materials Management Department.
Provide advice and assistance to management and program officials on supply management policies and procedures that affect supply activities including replenishing, receiving, stocking, warehousing, issuing, shipping, delivering, transporting and reporting.
Incumbent is responsible for supervising and directing the activities of Lead Supply Technicians and Supply Technicians (OA).
Oversees management and distribution of all supplies and materials in the medical center through subordinates who maintain stock, monitor expiration dates and rotating stock, ensure critical supplies are monitored, perform daily inventory, resolve differences in records, distribute items, deliver supplies in a timely manner, and completes required reports.
Requires advance knowledge and experience with working in a heath care environment due to the complexity of the facility.
Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) year of specialized experience and/or education equivalent to the grade level(s) you are applying to as identified below;
GS-09: One (1) year of specialized experience with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of this position. This experience is related to the work of the position and equivalent to at least the GS-07 level in the Federal service as described in the vacancy announcement. Examples include: Utilizing the Unified Financial Management Systems (UFMS) or a similar automated system for ordering and receiving supplies in a health care setting; reconciling transactions and processing payments for recurring invoices; and compiling/reviewing/maintaining data from contracts, purchase orders, and/or requisitions..
OR
A master's degree or equivalent graduate degree OR 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such degree OR LL.B or J.D., if related.
OR A combination of graduate level education in engineering or a related field AND specialized experience that meets 100% of the qualification requirements for this position. My qualifying graduate education is in excess of 18 semester hours.
Time In Grade
Federal employees in the competitive service are also subject to the Time-In-Grade Requirements: Merit Promotion (status) candidates must have completed one year of service at the next lower grade level. Time-In-Grade provisions do not apply under the Excepted Service Examining Plan (ESEP).
