This position is located at Departmental Offices, Management CFO- Info Systems and CIO. As an IT Specialist (APPSW) (INFOSEC) (UX/UI Specialist), you will improve the user experience and user-centric design on application delivered through Treasury Digital Services.

Duties

As an IT Specialist (APPSW) (INFOSEC) (UX/UI Specialist), you will: Lead the design and implementation of UX products from a human-centered design perspective Act as the senior specialist on major operating systems and application projects. Develop policies and procedures to ensure information systems reliability and accessibility and to prevent and defend against unauthorized access to systems, networks, and data. Conduct evaluations of security systems for UX/UI initiatives and ensures rigorous application of information security/ information assurance policies, principles, and practices in the delivery of all IT services.

Qualifications

You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: GS-14: You must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as: Experience resolving technical issues, communicating project details and providing guidance in areas such as website and content management, applications development, database management, and IT infrastructure. AND Participating on project design and technical teams to adapt, and implement applications development methods and models incorporating new technologies. Examples of such experience could include: Developing IT user support policy, defining system standards, identifying tools and analytics to improve performance. Designing, evaluating, developing, testing, debugging and maintaining cloud-based applications. Interpreting proposed legislation and policies concerning IT and evaluating the impact of operations. Analyzing the IT requirements necessary to meet user needs; planning, designing, developing, and implementing secure, cost-effective IT solutions. The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. In addition to specialized experience, individuals must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below. Attention to Detail: Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. Customer Service: Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services. Oral Communication: Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. Problem Solving: Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations.
