You will serve as a FINANCIAL TECHNICIAN in the Wounded Warrior Battalion-West (WWBn-W), Wounded Warrior Regiment (WWR), Camp Pendleton, California.
Duties
You will examine documents for accuracy, adequacy of documentation, compliance with regulations for goods and services provided to or by the Government.
You will determine pay, payroll records maintenance and completion of reports pertaining to civilian employees of the Federal Government.
You will answer request and provide advice to employees, supervisors, and staff in other financial management series.
You will make collections not related to pay and leave.
You will perform technician work in support of budget analysis and administration.
You will interact with regional contracting offices and civilian vendors to purchase or acquire goods and services in support of the organization’s mission requirements.

- Generally, current federal employees applying for GS jobs must serve at least one year at the next lower grade level. This requirement is called time-in-grade. Time-in-grade requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This is a Financial Management Level 1 certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate most or all of the following: 1.) Performing work to establish, maintain, correct, and close pay accounts; 2.) Maintaining ledger, budget formulation, compiling, consolidating, checking and arranging funding data; 3.) Handling cash items or using cash accountability control methods; AND 4.) Determining pay, payroll records maintenance and completion of reports.
