This position leads the Office of Equal Employment Opportunity, Diversity, and Inclusion (OEEODI). The incumbent serves as the Director and is responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating programs and policy in equal employment opportunity, diversity, and inclusion.
Duties
As a Director, Equal Employment Opportunity, Diversity, and Inclusion, you will perform the following major duties:
Serves as the agency's advisor for the development, advancement and promulgation of equal opportunity, diversity, and inclusion strategies and ensures compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and executive orders.
Plans, implements, and manages the work assignments of a team of equal employment opportunity specialists and provides supervisory oversight of their work.
Serves as a member of the agency senior leadership team and participates in the development of strategic plans to ensure that EEO is an integral part of business and modal office program plans and initiatives.
Develops and arranges for agency-wide training to drive cultural shifts in the agency's approach and applicability of diversity principles.
Manages the agency Reasonable Accommodation Program to ensure that the agency adheres to the requirements of the American with Disabilities Act (42 U.S. C. 12138 et seq.) and the Vocational Rehabilitation Act (29 U.S.C. 791 et seq)
Manages the Special Emphasis Programs in accordance with Executive Orders and legislative requirements to identify barriers, develop solutions to those barriers, and make recommendations to eliminate obstacles to the advancement of those identified demographic groups.

Qualifications
GS-15: You MUST have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service (experience may have been gained in the private sector). Specialized experience includes the following: experience planning, developing, and overseeing the execution of an Agency's Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Program; knowledge and experience with Management Directive 715 report and resulting barrier analysis; and experience managing an agency's reasonable accommodation program adhering to the requirements of the American with Disabilities Act and the Vocational Rehabilitation Act.
