This position is part of the Office of the Chief Human Capital Officer, Department of Energy. As a Management and Program Analyst, you will serve as an expert, in all functional areas for the internal business operations of the Resource Management Division.

  • This position remote restricted and works remotely, but the employee must live within a realistic commuting distance from the DOE Worksite. If selected, a remote work agreement is required detailing remote working conditions and expectations.

Qualifications

Specialized Experience For the GS-12: A qualified candidate's online resume and personnel records must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-11) in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position is defined as meeting ALL of the following: Providing analysis and feedback on administrative policies and processes for use in the management and direction of resource management programs. Conducting analysis to assist in the development of budget requests for resource requirements to accomplish the mission. Assisting higher level management with civilian personnel needs. For the GS-13: A qualified candidate's online resume and personnel records must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-12) in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position is defined as meeting ALL of the following: Conducting analysis of manpower and resource allocation to assist with budget operations. Providing technical guidance and advice on the most appropriate method or procedure of analysis and evaluation to accomplish resource management strategy. Advising on civilian personnel policies and procedures. "Experience" refers to paid and unpaid experience. Examples of qualifying unpaid experience may include: volunteer work done through National Service programs (such as Peace Corps and AmeriCorps); as well as work for other community-based philanthropic and social organizations. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills; and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Time-in-Grade: Employees must meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement to receive consideration.
