This is a Direct Hire Solicitation. About the Position: This position is located at Joint Base San-Antonio, TX. Duties

Serves as the consulting authority on credentialing, privileging and adverse actions for the DHN (Defense Health Network). Advises the leadership on clinical regulatory issues and identifies, evaluates and assists in resolution of clinical and safety issues impacting client care, as it pertains to credentialing and privileging. Analyzes data to identify systemic problems and/or improvement opportunities, based on published national standards of credentialing methodologies that can be used for implementation and educational purposes to reduce or prevent undesired outcomes. Monitors and ensures that the credentialing and privileging plans are in compliance with current practice and The Joint Commission (TJC) standards. Researches applicable regulatory guidance to obtain current standards, criteria, and methodologies for the performance of credentialing processes, and aggregation of data. Prepares monthly reports and notifies MTF (Military Treatment Facility) credential coordinators and providers if credential delinquencies are identified.

Requirements

• This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) monitoring credentialing and privileging plans to ensure they are in compliance with The Joint Commission (TJC) standards, 2) assisting in designing improvement process reviews for a medical treatment facility, AND 3) reviewing directives, plans, or policies regarding credentialing and privileging of medical professionals. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service GS-11.
