Duties

Serves as a Senior Healthcare Business Analyst within DHA’s Financial Operations Directorate. Performs duties as the subject matter expert (SME) in healthcare operations and financial data analysis. Leads teams and provides technical oversight of individuals supporting major service lines, programs, or lines of effort. Elicits, analyzes, validates and documents business, organizational and/or operational requirements to support the business needs of stakeholders. Oversees analysts to develop solutions driven by requirements and supported by data to include statistical analysis, research design and decision support in order to improve decision making and business practices at all levels of the organization.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Approximately 25% TDY travel is required in a calendar year. Travel may involve local, and or overnight.

Basic Requirements: Health System Specialist GS-0671-14 Specialized Experience GS-14: One year of specialized experience which includes, performing statistical studies on medical data for the organization; mentoring staff members while explaining analytical problems in a simplified approach; and conducting healthcare analysis briefings to senior leadership. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Attention to DetailCustomer ServiceDecision Making Time in Grade Requirement for GS-14: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13).
