You will serve as a PROGRAM ANALYST within NAVY SYSTEMS MANAGEMENT ACTIVITY. This position is in the excepted service and does not confer competitive status.

Duties

You will serve as a member of the Wartime Acquisition Resource Planning (WARP) and Industry/Supply Chain Management team. You will support NSMA with cross functional and cross Domain Support Group wartime acquisition sustainment planning and supply chain management projects. You will coordinate directly with the Program Integration leadership and stakeholders to develop, establish, and sustain a Wartime Acquisition Resource Planning and Industry/Supply Chain Management program within NSMA. You will coordinate a plan of action with milestones for various efforts with applicable functional and domain support group personnel. You will track and monitor status of key industrial partners with inputs from NSMA customers and command leadership. You will maintain awareness of supply chain management potential issues, and impacts and associated risks, to NSMA programs and customers especially regarding critical and fragile suppliers.

  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-12) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience includes: 1) Understanding national security strategy including military operational plans and/or military exercises and/or military games 2) Applying knowledge and exposure to supply chain management process, current issues, and potential future challenges. 3) Implementing change management techniques with innovative solutions. 4) Managing a complex and multifaceted program.
