You will serve as a Senior Performance Assessment Representative in the Public Works, Facilities Maintenance and Facilities Support Branch, PRN23, Facilities Engineering &Acquisition Division of NAVFAC ENGINEERING CMD MID-ATLANTIC.
Duties
You will provide oversight of assigned facilities support contracts.
You will monitor the contractor's performance and notify the contactor or deficiencies observed during surveillance.
You will maintain working files, approve contractor submittals, and review Performance Assessment Plans and contractor invoices of payment.
You will be compliant with all safety regulations and will ensure that the contractor and the OIC are cognizant of all factors of safety which are inherent of a particular job and location.

- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). You must be certified as a Career Field Facilities Engineering Level II. Certification is required within 24 months of appointment.
- You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes when outside of the typical office environment.
- You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing the following duties: 1) Provides oversight and daily management of assigned facilities support contracts; 2) Serves as the organization's technical consultant/advisor with the preparation of the contract documents and related administrative matters; 3) Assists in the overall Performance Assessment and inspection surveillance program, the development of staffing levels, documentation support and the enforcement of safety standards on the FSC maintenance contracts; and 4)Makes contact interpretations and decisions in order that the contractor is able to perform services in accordance with the contract.
