About the position:
This is a NAF position with the 61st Force Support Squadron, located with Outdoor Recreation in El Segundo and San Pedro, California. This position is Flexible. The position is guaranteed 0 hours, but has the potential to work up to 40 hours per week. As a flexible employee, you are not eligible for leave or benefits.
Duties
Assists in the operation of the Information, Ticket and Tour (ITT) Program, which services military members, civilian employees and visitors to Los Angeles AFB under the supervision of the Information, Tickets, and Tours Manager. Provides a variety of travel advice and information to customers involving various types of events, accommodations and schedules. Procures, secures and accounts for all tickets and monies associated with the program. Utilizes Military Ticket Program and direct vendor websites to generate and return e-tickets. Accepts charge and cash payments for tickets and tours and issues proper change. Responsible for change funds, daily inventory, ordering and receiving ticket and contacting vendors to get promotional materials. Completes daily cashier documentation including sales reports, cashier reports and bank deposits. Opens and closes the ITT office. Must be able to work an uncommon tour of duty that may include nights, weekends, and holidays. Performs other related duties as assigned.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.
Qualifying Experience:
Must have responsible experience which demonstrates the ability to perform satisfactorily at the grade level of the position. Must have strong computer skills to include competence navigating the internet, computer word processing, and spreadsheet program. A general knowledge of the surrounding area and amusement parks is highly desired. A practical knowledge of the travel, tour, and hospitality industry and knowledge of recreational activities, rules and procedures is highly desired. Applicant must have strong communication and interpersonal skills. Applicant must have experience handling multiple tasks concurrently that developed organizational skills. Must be able to work an uncommon tour of duty including nights, weekends, and holidays. Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently. Must be able to satisfactorily complete a National Agency Check with Inquiries (Tier-1 Investigation).

Education
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution.
FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying.
