About the Position: Position located at US Army Cadet Command Headquarters, G6, Fort Knox, KY.

Duties

Maintain manual and automated hand receipts to reflect all items of property (installation and expendable/durable property) issued or otherwise disposed. Receive and review documents reflecting items scheduled for repair. Operate computer terminal or personal computer to perform records search, data input, and data corrections. Primary supply technician and hand receipt holder performing supply operation duties related to the receipt and control of maintenance and unique repair items to include C4IM automation and communication items used for facilities and training events. Processes maintenance and repair requests for a variety of specialized training equipment and devices.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed Secret background investigation.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 10% of the time.
  • Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements
  • This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and an annual examination thereafter.
  • This position has a requirement to lift up to 20 lbs. in the regular performance of duties.

Education

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this position you may qualify if your education meets the definition below:

One full year of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as Supply Management. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.)

Combination of Education and Experience for GS-07: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 18. Add the two percentages. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.)

FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
