This position is located at Bureau of the Fiscal Service, Project and Provider Management Division. As a/an Financial Program Specialist (TFM Custodian), you will be responsible for providing the management and operational support of the TFM and the TFM Review Board.
Duties
As a/an Financial Program Specialist (TFM Custodian), you will:
-Work with the Data Stewards to develop procedures to ensure consistency of data, data names, terms, and definitions between the TFM and the Fiscal Service Data Registry and the Business Glossary.
-Conduct ongoing review of TFM and Fiscal Service websites for consistency and potential update; and seek opportunities to improve individual programs and interactions among programs.
-Receive and analyze feedback from stakeholders of the TFM and metrics from business owners to identify program effectiveness and potential improvements and coordinate responses and actions with the business owners.
Qualifications

The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. Specialized Experience For the GS-13, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized Experience for this position includes:
- Experience with the management and operational support of the Treasury Financial Manual (TFM) and the TFM Review Board as a TFM Custodian.
AND
- Conducting initial reviews of new, updated, or rescinded TFM releases to identify cross-cutting information and to ensure that it is accurate, and all issues are addressed.
Examples of such experience may include the following:
- Facilitating the development, publication, and electronic release of Government-wide policy and procedures as it pertains to the Treasury Financial Manual.
- Analyzing the complex topics of the TFM and facilitating content owners in resolving areas of overlap.
- Conducts ongoing review of TFM and Fiscal Service websites for consistency and potential update; and seeks opportunities to improve individual programs and interactions among programs.
- Experience in producing TFM guidance and work products to meet program and production goals.
- Providing demonstrations and presentations to customers on automated financial system functionalities.
In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable:
For the GS-13, you must have been at the GS-12 level for 52 weeks.
