You will serve as the Configuration Manager Program Analyst in the PMA-226 of FLTREADCEN EAST.

Duties

You will maintain consistency of hardware, firmware, or software for applicable fielded aircraft Configuration Items and will ensure conformance to specifications, drawings, interface control documents, and all other configuration documentation. You will be responsible to ensure the overall Configuration Management compliance with Military Standards and NAVAIR policy, procedures and processes. You will serve as the PMA-226 entry point configuration control issues. You will develop/provide subject submissions for configuration changes, ensure all program element requirements are identified and adequately priced.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Examples of specialized experience: 1 Demonstrating expert ability to examine all preliminary and final system or aircraft design configuration changes ensuring they satisfy all local and headquarters standards and policies; 2) Expertise knowledge of Military Standards and NAVAIR Configuration Management procedures, and processes such as MIL-HDB-6 lA, MIL­ STJ)-9.73, American National Standards Institute/Electronic Industry Association, ANSI/EIA- 649, and NAVAIRINST 4130.1; 3) Demonstrating expert ability to maintain consistency of hardware, firmware, or software for applicable fielded aircraft Cls and ability to ensure CM conformance to specifications, drawings, interface control documents, and all other configuration documentation; 4) Demonstrating developing/providing budget submissions for configuration changes, ensuring all program element requirements are identified; 5) Participating in Preliminary Design Reviews (PDRs) and Critical Design Reviews (CDRs) in order to provide configuration management guidance on design and implementation decisions.
