These positions are located in Yellowstone National Park, in the Facilities Management and Operations Division.
Career-Seasonal appointments are permanent positions and include the same benefits as Career appointments, but do not provide work on a year-round basis. You will work approximately 11 months in pay status from mid-November to late October, and you will be in a non-pay status for the remainder of the year.
Duties
Major duties for the Maintenance Mechanic positions include:
Performs Carpentry, painting, electrical, and plumbing maintenance of historic and non-historic buildings using appropriate techniques.
Performs Asbestos and Lead inspections and completes hazardous materials inspection surveys.
Prep and paint surfaces using different techniques.
Prioritizes work based on oral instructions and work orders.
