Serves as a Management and Program Analyst in the Office of Analytics and Improvements (OAI) working as an advisor to the Director to identify Continuous Improvement initiatives as they relate to the Agency's five dimensions of quality (accuracy, productivity, cost, timeliness, service) and the SSA mission.
Duties
Uses Continuous Improvement methodologies (e.g. longitudinal data collection and analysis, process analysis, trend analysis, root cause analysis, etc.) to recommend, lead, facilitate and/or...
[Cont'd]... support Continuous Improvement initiatives which are designed to improve the quality of SSA’s programmatic and administrative programs and workload processes.
Plans, leads and or facilitates inter-component teams to identify processes amendable to the application of Continuous Improvement (CI) methodologies.
Develops, negotiates and maintains communication between CI project team members.
Ensures CI project team members are trained in the understanding and application of CI methodologies; directs CI project team activities toward recommending and implementing viable quality improvements to management, etc.
Develops and maintains effective networks and working relationships within the organization and among SSA stakeholders.
Initiates techniques to gain acceptance and understanding of management and enhance active participation in furthering total change.
Continuously evaluates continuous quality objectives, policies, and intra/interprogram balances to reduce resistance to change, build participative management ownership, develop support, and...

To qualify for this GS-13 position, the applicant must have 52 weeks of specialized experience at, or equivalent to the Federal GS-12 level (or above), which is in or related to the work of the position to be filled and has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Such experience should include 1) Interacting with senior level authorities; 2) assisting in understanding requirements and constraints of high value or agency-wide projects or programs, quickly determine the appropriate level and scope of interaction required and 3) interpreting policies and processes to analyze/resolve issues.
