Duties
As Public Health Analyst (Issues Management), you will:
Serve as Special Assistant subject matter expert to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Director for critical discussion, and decision impacting policy and program operation.
Oversee material management for the Director and ensure that briefing material, meeting memo, talking point and speech.
Manage the review and clearance of critical agency document and response including Reports to Congress and response to HHS and White House data calls.
Collaborate on agency-wide cross-cutting objective and priority.
Collect and compile information and data for use in briefing document and etc.
Inventory, track, summarize and disseminate critical information and progress report to manage and coordinate project across CDC.
Qualifications
Desired Qualification Requirements/Experience:
Leading, formulating, implementing and/or evaluating public health programs to include collaborating with internal and external partners and customers.
Assisting a senior executive with cross-cutting initiatives, programs and etc.
Applicants must currently occupy a full-time Career or Career Conditional competitive service position within CDC/ATSDR or an Excepted Service position under the Schedule A, Schedule B, or Veterans Recruitment Appointment Authority within the CDC/ATSDR or Commissioned Corps equivalent, unless otherwise specified in the Announcement.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
