Duties
You will be responsible for ensuring that the appropriate operational security posture is maintained for an Information Security (IS) and as such, works in close collaboration with the ISO.
You will serve as the principal advisor on all matters, technical and otherwise, involving the security of ISs under their purview
You will maintain a repository of all security authorizations for ISs under their purview.
You will assess changes to the system, its environment, and operational needs that could affect the security authorization.
You will assist in the development of the security policies and procedures and ensures compliance with those policies and procedures.

- This is a Cyberspace Workforce position, work role code 802, 722, and 451, proficiency level A (Advanced) the incumbent is required to obtain and maintain qualifications in DoDM 8140.03 Cyber Workforce Qualification and Department of Navy policies.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Basic Requirement: Degree in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management or degree that provided a minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more of the fields identified above and required the development or adaptation of applications, systems or networks.
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-12) or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Examples of specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Planning, developing, implementing, and maintaining an organization cyber security program to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of IT systems, networks, and data/information storage and retrieval operations; 2) Applying cyber security principles, methods, and tools to design, develop, implement, and manage systems and data; 3) Providing guidance pertinent to cyber security program regulations, policies, procedures, and guides to organization leadership and personnel; and enforces security policies and safeguards for systems and networks; 4) Applying Risk Management Framework (RMF) for Assessment and Authorization (A&A) of organization systems and networks through comprehensive assessment and/or evaluation of information system policies, technical / non-technical security components, documentation, supplemental safeguards, policies, and vulnerabilities.
