About the Position: Serves as a Program Analyst for the Assoc Provost, Undergraduate Education, Defense Language Institute Foreign Language Center, Monterey, CA.

Duties

Formulates issues, analyzes trends, and understands outcomes, contributes to planning, evaluation, and development of institutional policy. Conducts research studies including facility usage, data analysis, interpretation, reporting and development of recommendations in support of program planning, evaluation, and decision-making. Researches and investigates new or improved academic-related business and management practices for applicability to Defense Language Foreign Language Center (DLIFLC) training programs or operations. Develops workload-based staffing standards to determine organizational manning levels. Analyzes and evaluates proposed changes in language requirements, missions, operating procedures and delegations of authority. Partners with Director of Public Works to create military construction priority lists, master plans, and building design criteria. Prepares and justifies the Associate Provost Office future year budget estimate submission. Manages special projects for the Associate Provost, acting independently to plan and execute the project. Manages the preparation and distribution of institutional reports related to academic support. Obtains guidance and information on training programs (e.g. for budget, logistics, and academic matters) for assistant deans and other new management employees. Maintains contacts in the schools through associate and assistant deans on matters relating to staffing requirements, changes to TDAs, reorganizations, etc.
