About the Position
The work performed by the position is normally performed in an office setting which is adequately lighted, ventilated and climate controlled. The work is primarily in the office setting, and requires long periods of sitting and reading, plus carrying of light objects such as files, records, and books.

Duties
Provide consultation, ongoing review, and interpretation of regulatory requirements.
Provide advice on credentialing and privileging issues and management of the CCQAS and PCFs.
Monitor the preparation of agendas and minutes for credentialing meetings and ensures that all participants involved are notified of meeting times to be prepared for committee action.
Define and monitor various metrics associated with the credentials and privileging processes such as number of providers with valid license, valid BLS, National Provider Identification or federal fee waved Drug Enforcement Administration license.
Oversee the collection and tracking of compliance with the annual provider peer review profiling requirement.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Tier 1 security investigation or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
- This position has a mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination requirement and is therefore subject to annual seasonal influenza vaccinations.
- This position requires the incumbent to have tuberculosis testing

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes managing the day-to-day operations of health care delivery services; assisting with modifications/improvements of clinic policies and procedures; and planning budget personnel staff. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).
OR
Education: Ph. D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree with a major study in hospital administration, public health administration, or related fields such as business or public administration with course work in health care administration.

Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
