Duties
As an IT Cybersecurity Specialist (INFOSEC) (Direct Hire), you will:
Assist in ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of systems, networks, and data through the planning, analysis, development, implementation, maintenance, and enhancement of information systems security programs, policies, procedures, and tools.
Support the implementation, and evaluation of the security program, including the implementation of security programs designed to anticipate, assess, and minimize system vulnerabilities.
Assist in the implementation of higher-level security requirements; participate in the assessment of new systems design methodologies; perform implementation activities; institute measures to ensure awareness and compliance; assist in reviewing proposed new systems, networks, and software designs for potential security risks.
Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
Specialized Experience: For the GS-14, you must have one year (52 full weeks) of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized Experience for this position includes:
Providing cyber security project management to lead enterprise-wide cyber security project implementations to facilitate IT Security compliance; AND
Assessing new systems design and methodologies to improve security posture; leading and performing implementation activities, identifying the need for changes based on new security technologies or threats.
Experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. In addition to specialized experience, individuals must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below.
