This position is part of the National Archives and Records Administration, in the Information Security Oversight Office (AISOO). AISOO is used as the administrative office symbol for AISOO within NARA. The incumbent serves as the Associate Director and is responsible to the Director, AISOO for executive leadership and assistance in developing, planning, administering, managing, and supervising AISOO operations related to the monitoring of Government-wide programs.
Duties
As a Supervisory Program Analyst, you will:
Supervise the performance of 12 to 25 employees from grades GS-06 through GS-14, Plan and schedule the work of subordinates, make assignments to subordinates based on priorities, consideration of the difficulty and the requirements of the work, and the capabilities of the employees.
Support advisory committees, panels, boards, and councils established by executive order, statutes, and regulations including the National Industrial Security Program Policy Advisory Committee and the Controlled Unclassified Information Advisory Council.
Perform continuous review and evaluation of over 65 agency rules and regulations implementing the provisions of Executive Order 13526 and AISOO directives and recommend modifications or amendments to agency implementing regulations prior to their approval or after they have been in place, and advises the Director, AISOO about recommended modifications or amendments to existing rules and regulations that should be incorporated in regular or special AISOO studies or program reviews.
Plan, design, supervise production, issuance, and distribution of AISOO publications, including a newsletter on current security classification topics, videos and other web-based products related to security education and training and ensures maintenance of AISOO web site.
Coordinate budget requirements, staff planning and resource allocations for the purpose of accomplishing AISOO's program operations.
Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement.
Specialized experience for the GS-15 is defined as one year of experience at the GS-14 level, or equivalent that is directly related to the position and which has equipped the candidate with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience for this position includes:
- Supervising or leading staff by planning, organizing, and coordinating workloads and evaluating organizational or operational performance standards. AND
- Developing recommendations for improving the efficiency of operational programs and tracking performance. AND
- Analyze and evaluate issues/problems related to office operations, policies, and procedures and contributes to the development of major policies.
In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable (as defined in 5 CFR 300, Subpart F):
For the GS-15, you must have been at the GS-14level for 52 weeks.
