About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located with U.S. Army Intelligence & Security Command, U.S. Army Counterintelligence Command at Fort Meade, MD.
Duties
Plan and improve maintenance policies, coordinating logistics like supply and transport, and ensuring timely support for global mission
Oversees the organization’s adherence to maintenance policies, analyzes logistics data systems to identify and address readiness gaps, and coordinates corrective actions to meet Department goals.
Manages the organization’s maintenance initiatives, liaises with Headquarters and subordinate organization for resource optimization, ensures HQ compliance, and represents at department conferences and workshops.
Ensures the organization’s compliance with DoD programs, conducts inspections, supports review programs, offers maintenance guidance, and manages Modification Work Orders and Safety of Use Messages.
Advises on Army maintenance policies, formulates the organization regulations to align with DoD directives, and guarantees adherence to official guidance.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Two year trial/probationary period may be required.
- In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret (TS) security clearance based on a T5 investigation/Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) with eligibility for sensitive
- Temporary Duty (TDY) travel will be required up to 10% percent of the time.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid state driver's license.
- All INSCOM employees may be subject to extended TDY or worldwide deployments during crisis
situations to perform mission essential functions as determined by management.
