This position serves as an Administrative Program Specialist in one of the Service Areas, in a designated Group. Oversees, plans, develops, monitors, and executes actions required to manage the office's administrative functions. Provides support to supervisors, manages, and other employees in day-to-day operations: which includes the following areas: fiscal management, travel, management information systems, property management, procurements, and overall office management.
Duties
Plans, develops, monitors and executes actions required to manage the office's administrative functions. Provides support to supervisors, managers, and other employees in day-to-day operations: which includes the following areas: fiscal management, travel, management information systems, property management, procurements, and overall office management. Conducts studies, analyses and surveys of programmatic, administrative and management methods, processes and procedures to resolve issues or problems of a procedural or factual nature. Interviews program managers and employees to obtain information about administrative, management and/or programmatic requirements, issues, and activities. Researches, gathers, assembles, analyzes and consolidates administrative, management and/or programmatic information and data ensuring overall accuracy and consistency.
Requirements
- US Citizenship is required.
- Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.

- Security Requirement: Low Risk (1). This position requires completion and favorable adjudication of a background investigation prior to appointment, unless a waiver is obtained. Subject to a 5-year period reinvestigation.
Qualifications
Candidates must have one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower level FV-E or (FG-GS-7) that is typically in or related to the line of work of the position to be filled and which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform in this position.
