This position is located at Departmental Offices,Management CFO- Info Systems and CIO. As a/an Information Systems Security Manager, you will manage the security project, operations and development of assigned systems, especially compliance with Treasury's security program, monitoring and improvement of its security posture, and advising of key stakeholders of risks and tracking remediation.

Duties

As a/an Information Systems Security Manager, you will: Plan, develop, and oversees vital IT programs for OCIO Work closely with the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) to ensure quality and timeliness of assigned deliverables. Advise program leads and serve as a single point of contact for an assigned program area (security domain) to track, manage, and report on status, impediments, and completion of key security activities for a specific system or entire program. Develop comprehensive solutions for programmatic deficiencies to ultimately reduce quality issues and improve operations, enhance risk insight, and/or reduce compliance workload. Conduct systems security evaluations, audits, and reviews; participate in network and systems design to ensure implementation of appropriate systems security policies.

Qualifications

You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement. Specialized Experience for the GS-14: You must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position is defined as: - Experience ensuring consistency in program outcomes via implementation of technical, administrative, and operational mechanisms for information systems security; AND - Experience developing comprehensive solutions to reduce quality issues and improve operations, enhance risk insight, and/or reduce compliance workload; AND - Experience serving as a single point of contact to track, manage, and report on key security activities for a specific system or entire program (security domain). The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. In addition to specialized experience, individuals must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below. Problem Solving: Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations.
