You will serve as a PROGRAM MANAGER in the MISSILE BODY SECTION, FLIGHT SYSTEMS BRANCH, CONVENTIONAL PROMPT STRIKE (CPS) of CPS PROGRAM OFFICE.
This position is part of the Department of Defense Civilian Acquisition Workforce Personnel Demonstration Project. The NH-4 broadband level encompasses positions equivalent to GS-14 and GS-15.
Duties
You will develop detailed plans, tasks, milestone dates and schedules to ensure proper sequencing of events and tracking of processes and costs throughout the life cycle of the programs/projects.
You will plan and initiate a comprehensive evaluation system for the review and analysis of proposed costs, program development, and performance.
You will provide direction, management, and oversight of efforts related to the CPS All-Up Round subsystems.
You will oversee and approves contractor design and product/quality assurance efforts in satisfying contractual requirements for various subsystems, encompassing all life cycle program phases.
You will direct, manage, and oversee efforts related to acceptability, utilization, and sustainment of hardware and support equipment including design and process changes.
You will represent the command in assigned areas of responsibility when interfacing with field activities, fleet representatives, contractors, and consultants to resolve complex and/or controversial issues.

- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-03 (GS-13) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Utilizing knowledge of engineering practices (e.g. industrial, mechanical, electrical, or facilities) to provide planning analysis for the achievement of contractor engineering efforts.
