About the Position: This position is a DOD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system position in the Excepted Service under 10 USC 1599f. Employees occupying CES positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the Fort Eisenhower, Georgia.
Duties
Provides oversight and guidance for all military and civilian personnel actions to include in/out-processing, assignment of sponsors, medical and physical fitness readiness, evaluations, and awards.
Informs the G4/Deputy G4 of major problem areas, troubleshoots and coordinates efforts across organizational boundaries and presents a plan to resolve the issues.
Manages large scale cooperative efforts of personnel across organizational boundaries to provide focused staff support and accomplish special studies, projects and actions.
Directing, planning managing and integrating the activities of multiple functional staff sections, their personnel and operations to ensure accomplishment of the activity’s organizational programs and functions.
Ensures decisions and concepts are implemented by directing the staff and by assigning specific responsibilities, when necessary, to prepare and issue plans, reports, briefings and other staff actions.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Three year trial/probationary period may be required.
- Position is designated Critical-Sensitive (3) requiring the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET security clearance with eligible access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI).
- Incumbent must be willing to undergo and successfully complete initial and periodic Counterintelligence Scope Polygraph (CI/Poly) examination with No Deception Indicated (NDI).
- Must be able to obtain and maintain access to NSA and Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) accredited facilities and networks [Military Affairs Desk Officer (MADO) Security In-Processing (SIP) process].
- Temporary Duty (TDY) business travel will be required approximately 15% of the time.
- This position is a testing designated position (TDP) in accordance with (IAW) Drug Free Federal Workplace Program.
- As a precondition and continuing condition of employment, the incumbent of this position must, IAW Chapter 5, section II, paragraphs 5-8b and 5-8c(4) of AR 600-85
- (The Army Substance Abuse Program) and DA PAM 600-85 (Army Substance Abuse Program Civilian Services), Chapter 3, paragraphs 3-2e and f agree to submit urinalysis testing on a recurring bases.
- The incumbent is required to sign a DA Form 5019 (Condition of Employment for Certain Positions Identified as Critical Under the DA, Drug Free Federal Workplace Program.

Provides guidance over program direction for both military and civilian technical functions for areas such as resource management, administrative support services, and related technical and clerical support. 2. Directs the work of the activity's support staff to facilitate accomplishment of the mission in coordination with the G4/Deputy G4 decisions and in compliance with all directives and policies.3. Assigns and reviews tasks for the directorate, establishes priorities, monitors accomplishments for timeliness and acceptability, determines training requirements and makes decisions on non-routine, costly or controversial training requests from employees.
