Duties
As a Public Health Analyst, you will:
Support the evaluation of data quality in reports to center and agency Data Modernization Initiative (DMI) leaderships, involves assessing the accuracy, reliability, and completeness of data to ensure its usefulness for decision-making and reporting purposes.
Assist in designing and maintaining reports, dashboards and other tools, providing insights and trends to support decision-making and policy formulation within NCCDPHP's nine divisions.
Lead program planning and coordination efforts for developing and implementing effective NCCDPHP post-award grants management processes using the Award Management Platform (AMP).
Liaise with and facilitate meetings of NCCDPHP Stakeholders and Data Governance groups to gather feedback, identify data needs, and ensure that evaluation and reporting efforts align with NCCDPHP's strategic goals and objectives.
Monitor and support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying gaps and opportunities in existing processes and recommending and implementing changes to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.
Qualifications
Desired Qualification Requirements/Experience:
Knowledge of CDC policies and programmatic processes related to CoAgs is preferred
Ability to establish and maintain working relations with government contractors and staff across the Center, CDC, and in other organizations
Detail-oriented and possess critical thinking skills
Cloud systems and technology
Ability to respond effectively and efficiently to time-sensitive issues in response to stakeholder interests and needs
Written and verbal communications skills
Performing processes and methods regarding the development and administration of operating public health programs involving government or non-governmental organizations at the State, Local or International level.
Applicants must currently occupy a full-time Career or Career Conditional competitive service position within CDC/ATSDR or an Excepted Service position under the Schedule A, Schedule B, or Veterans Recruitment Appointment Authority within the CDC/ATSDR or Commissioned Corps equivalent, unless otherwise specified in the Announcement.
