This position is part of the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation (DFC), Office of Information Technology. As an IT Specialist (APPSW) you will serve as a Senior System Administrator supporting ServiceNow (SNOW) development and maintenance activities. This includes serving as primary point of contact, system administrator, and system lead over use and management of ServiceNow.

Duties

As an IT Specialist (APPSW), you will: Promote the effective and efficient design, development, and maintenance of the ServiceNow platform, including managing contractor provided application development and maintenance support. Collaborate daily with various Government and contractor stakeholders to understand, propose, and deliver solutions to enhance request fulfillment using the ServiceNow platform. Identify and automate ServiceNow service operations and management workflows including, but not limited to, a self-service dashboard, Onboarding, Offboarding, Request, Incident, Problem, Configuration, Change, Knowledge Base, and Asset Management. Maintain and build knowledge of Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) and Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) processes aligned with ServiceNow platform level patches/releases and ITSM processes such as Change Management, Incident management. Follow safety and security procedures and set a standard for security adherence within DFC. Report information on the progress, accomplishments, and status (related to cost, schedule, risk) of the projects and/or tasks in the portfolio. Deliver customer related report metrics on a routine basis, analyze areas of concern or dissatisfaction, and determine strategic approach to enhance the customer experience. Qualifications

BASIC REQUIREMENT For all positions individuals must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below: 1. Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. 4. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. AND ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENT In addition to the Basic Requirement listed above, you must meet the required specialized experience listed below. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service that demonstrates your experience in all of the following: 1)Experience analyzing, reviewing, developing and deploying ServiceNow Modules (like ITAM, ITSM, Service Catalog, etc.) for the benefit of the organization. 2)Experience providing technical architecture and design guidance when implementing ServiceNow Solutions. 3)Experience in IT application development processes and best practices, including writing technical standards and security documentation. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
