You will serve as a Logistics Management Specialist in the Fleet Support Team, FST Logistics Division of FLTREADCEN EAST.
This announcement uses the Certain Personnel of the DoD direct hire authority to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
Duties
You will ensure the safety and readiness of assigned aircraft systems, while reducing total cost of ownership to the Navy.
You will serve as a technical and administrative point of contact for the fleet, all elements of the Logistics competency, for in-service logistics or acquisition logistics issues.
You will develop, review, evaluate and provide supportability inputs to program technical and mission documentation.
You will conduct and evaluate mission area analysis and assessment to develop Integrated Product Support (IPS) concepts and constrains.
You will develop, prepare, review, and update IPS planning documentation.
You will identify and determine logistics planning tasks, actions, projects, and schedules required to implement assigned IPS program responsibilities.
You will identify fleet logistics problems and issues, develop solutions, identify tasks and actions required, and monitor implementation.
You will investigate and evaluate existing, emerging and new technologies, processes and maintenance techniques and practices for application to the end item design, to the support system, and preventative and corrective maintenance requirements.
You will assist in the development of Operation and Safety Improvement Program (OSIP) proposals and Engineering Change Proposals (ECP).
You will identify problems, issues, and constraints with Common Support Equipment (CSE), Peculiar Support Equipment (PSE) and METCAL requirements.
You will prepare inputs for various program related budgets for assigned systems and functional area.
You will prepare budget justification and impact statements and prepare supporting documentation and reclamation.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-9 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Demonstrating knowledge of Order of Magnitude(OOMA), Depot Logs, and Records program and how systems are used in the management of Logs and Records; 2) Analyzing supportability and readiness information for assigned systems; 3) Determining the achieved supportability characteristics and evaluates achieved verses required/desired/planned characteristics; 4) Demonstrating knowledge of Asset Stock Requisition (ASR), Stock Requisition Card (SRC), Equipment History Record (EHR) cards and how those relate to MRC Deck/PMICs and electronic Logs and Records.

Education
Qualifying Education for GS 11:
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
Successful completion of a PH.D or equivalent doctoral degree
OR
Successful completion of three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a such a degree
OR
Possession of an LL.M. that is related to this position being filled.
